Custom Facemask Made to Your 3D Scan

Protection That Fits Your Face
An off-the-shelf mask rarely fits well. Ours is manufactured from a 3D scan of your own face, so it sits securely over the injured area without the bulk, rubbing or movement of a generic guard. Eye openings keep your vision clear, and adjustable hook-and-loop straps hold it firmly in place during play.
- Made from a quick 3D scan - no plaster or casting
- Scan takes only a few minutes
- Supplied within 2 weeks
- Adjustable straps for a secure fit
- Price: £450
Who Is the Facemask For?
Injuries We Help With
A protective facemask is most commonly used by players who want to return to sport after:
- A fractured nose
- A fractured cheekbone (zygomatic fracture)
- Other facial injuries where your medical team has advised protection during contact
The mask helps protect the healing area from everyday knocks, which can allow an earlier return to play than waiting until the injury is fully healed.
Sports We Supply For
- Football
- Gaelic football
- Hurling
- Hockey
- Other contact and ball sports, on request
Rules on facemasks vary between sports and competitions, so check with your club or governing body before you play.
Important: What a Facemask Can and Cannot Do
It Reduces Risk
The mask helps shield your injury from knocks and contact during sport.
It Has Limits
Excessive force can still cause further trauma. A facemask is not a guarantee of protection.
Get Medical Clearance
Always follow the advice of your surgeon, doctor or physiotherapist on when you can return to play.

Protective Facemask Frequently Asked Questions
What is a protective facemask for sport?
A protective facemask is a custom-made device worn over the face during sport to shield a healing nose or cheekbone fracture from knocks. It is made to the exact shape of your face from a 3D scan, so it sits comfortably and securely during play.
Can I play sport again with a facemask?
A facemask can allow an earlier return to play after a nose or cheekbone fracture. Whether and when you return is a decision for your surgeon, doctor or physiotherapist, and your sport's governing body or club may have its own rules on facemasks. We will happily provide information to your medical team.
Does it make me completely safe from further injury?
No. A facemask reduces the risk from everyday knocks and contact in sport, but it has limits. Excessive force can still cause further injury, so it is not a guarantee of protection.
How is the facemask made?
We take a quick 3D scan of your face at your appointment, which takes only a few minutes and involves no plaster or casting. The mask is then manufactured to your scan.
How long does it take to get my facemask?
Your facemask is supplied within 2 weeks of your scan. If you have a return-to-play date in mind, tell us when you book so we can plan around it.
Which sports is it used for?
Our facemasks are used by players in football, Gaelic football, hurling and hockey, and can be considered for other contact sports. Check your sport's rules before you play.
Do I need a GP referral?
No. We offer direct access, so you can book online or call 07727061400. Many patients come to us after treatment from an A&E department, maxillofacial team or sports medicine clinic.
How much does a facemask cost?
The price is shown on this page and on our pricing page. It includes your scan, manufacture and fitting.
